This paper was prepared for the Uniform Law Conference of Canada, and examines alternative methods of supporting Canadian authors and other creators.

 

Such methods include exclusive copyrights, levies on proxy goods or services and public funding programs. The paper was presented in August, 2005 at the Conference’s annual meeting in St. John’s. A revised version of the paper was published in the Canadian Journal of Law and Technology.
