Funding

Obtaining and managing more than $4.7 million of funding in the past five years, and collaborating on additional $5.4M and $0.8M projects, has enabled me to build a robust program of research and training. With this funding, I have convened inter-disciplinary conferences and workshops in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, establishing a proven record of collaboration with other nationally and internationally renowned scholars. My research funding has also helped to train a cadre of future leaders and researchers in fields of law, business, political science, international relations and other disciplines. My current international research projects focus primarily on Africa, but also involve other developing regions of the world, especially South and South-East Asia. That work is in addition to my substantial engagement with intellectual property issues in Canada, the United States and Europe.
